Our Story

History and Successes of Team NOVA Race in the World of Grand Touring Competition

A Journey of Success and Strategic Partnerships.

Team NOVA Race saw the light in 2010 thanks to the entrepreneurial vision of Luca Magnoni, quickly establishing itself as a solid and respected presence in the world of Gran Turismo racing. In the early years, a strategic partnership with Ginetta Cars led to the creation of the ‘G50 Cup by Yokohama’ one-make series, demonstrating the Team’s commitment not only to racing, but also to organising high-level events.
During this period, NOVA Race actively participated in numerous Endurance competitions, achieving outstanding results with Ginetta cars and winning prestigious titles such as the Gulf Abu Dhabi 24 Hours, the Paul Ricard 24 Hours and the Barcelona 24 Hours.

Focus on Prestigious GT3 and GT4 Cars

In the following years, the team focused its attention on GT3 and GT4 series cars, choosing prestigious brands such as Nissan and Mercedes. With the Nissan GT-R GT3 and the Mercedes-AMG GT4, NOVA Race has continued to reap high levels of success, consolidating its reputation in the motor racing scene.
The year 2021 marked a turning point with the entry of Honda’s GT3-class cars. This partnership with the Japanese brand has propelled the team onto the international stage, enabling it to compete at the highest level. 2022 was a year of triumphs, with the conquest of the Italian GT Sprint Championship in the PRO category and the titles reserved for Teams and Manufacturers. The Endurance series saw the team triumph in the AM category, confirming Luca Magnoni as Italian champion.
